David is not only a master of his craft, but also a person of great integrity and passion.
His work speaks for itself, but knowing the artist behind the icon makes the experience
all the more profound.

David knocked it out of the park with his F3 logo shirt and hat designs! From start to finish, he was incredibly responsive and professional. The quality of the designs were top-notch, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. If you’re looking for someone reliable and talented for your design needs, David’s your guy!

For Valentine’s Day, I commissioned David to create a custom art piece for my wife featuring our two children—and the result was truly special. David started with portrait photos of each child and then transformed them into vibrant, personalized works of art. He thoughtfully incorporated their favorite colors, sports, and interests, creating pieces that are not only visually stunning but deeply meaningful. My wife was moved to tears. David has a rare talent for blending creativity with personal connection—this is a gift our family will treasure forever.

My wife, and I asked David for an icon of Saint Joseph. The icon he produced is absolutely lovely and is prominently displayed in our living room. We explained to our children that works of art such as the icon can only be produced by people of great faith. David is just such a person. I would highly recommend his talents to anyone who wishes to display one of the richest traditions of our Catholic faith.

Emmaus has always been a mysterious and theologically deep encounter that has fascinated me since childhood.
Iconography is a living tradition, and some icons today are still painted using traditional, centuries-old techniques and styles.
WITH A FATHER’S HEART: that is how Joseph loved Jesus, whom all four Gospels refer to as “the son of Joseph”

Prints of my art are currently available through pixels.com and original art can be commissioned through my site. Occasionally, some originals are also available through my site and can be ordered directly from me.

It is my pleasure to be able to bring to life a vision of a painting be it a sacred art icon, a portrait, landscape, or some other imaginative piece.

Each commission is on a case by case basis in terms of pricing as well as the size of the artwork.

Please email me directly through my contact page to begin a discussion about a commission.

My price sheet is available upon request and a cleared deposit of $1000.00 or more (depending on the complexity) is required before I begin creating and painting the desired art piece.

I regularly post updates about my latest work as well as older pieces on my Instagram page. My Instagram handle is @david.salako

I sometimes show my work at art shows that focus on sacred art, especially in the state of Texas as well as neighboring states. A list of my upcoming shows will be available under the Bio tab on my website.

Moori Woori is the label brand that I (David Salako) created a few years ago that encompasses various kinds of creative output. Paintings, toy prototypes, jigsaw puzzles etc.

I sometimes collaborate with other creatives in order to produce exciting products under the Moori Woori umbrella. It is A creative home of sorts.

All sales of original artworks are final.  The amount of time and creative effort it takes to create a piece means that returns are not possible; however, I will work with you to deliver a final piece that will meet your expectations within reason or exceed them.
